PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To localize damage on a vehicle and to minimize damage on passengers or crews even at an offset collision. SOLUTION: In this body structure 1 for a vehicle, a corner post 6 at four corners of an underframe 2 connecting an end structure 3 and a side structure 4 has a rib 6c inclined toward both of the end structure 3 and the side structure 4 at least at a lower part. A wainscot side board 7 of the side structure 4 is constituted by a double structural material connecting an outer plate 7a and an inner plate 7b with a rib 7c which is a strength secured member for connecting them with holding the interval. A door pocket side plate 8 is constituted by a double structural material connecting an outer plate 8a and an inner plate 8b with a rib 8c which is a strength secured member for connecting them with holding the interval.
