<p>A peak to average reduction apparatus and method thereof for reducing peak power requirements of a multi-channel transmitter (200) is discussed. The apparatus includes: a Fourier Transform Matrix (FTM) (203) coupled to one or more input signals (211-218) for providing a plurality of output signals (219-222) each comprising a combination of phase shifted versions of the one or more input signals; and a processing unit (205) coupled to the output signals for limiting a peak value for each of the output signals to provide a plurality of peak limited output signals (223-226), wherein the peak limited output signals are suitable for generating a plurality of signals for driving the multi-channel transmitter.</p> |
