Reaction solution for simultaneous determination of glucose and hemoglobin in liquids comprising sodium dodecyl sulfate, a nonionic detergent, sodium chloride, a sodium salt buffer, a complexing agent and a stabilizer, is new. An Independent claim is also included for determination of glucose and hemoglobin in a liquid by mixing the liquid with a reaction solution as above, determining the glucose content with a biosensor and determining the hemoglobin content with a photometer at a wavelength of 450-600 nm.
