DC offset is removed from a received signal by storing (18) a portion of signal, estimating (24) the DC offset of the stored portion and removing (26) the estimated DC offset from the stored portion of signal before forwarding the stored portion for further processing (36, 32, 34) in the receiver. The estimated DC offset may be removed from subsequent portions of signal without storing the subsequent portions and without re-estimating the DC offset.
