<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device which suppresses overheating of a catalyst by exhaust without using a valve and causing lowering in the volumetric efficiency of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: A sub exhausting passage 2 branched off from a main exhausting passage 1 is provided, and a throttling portion 3 is arranged in the main exhausting passage 1 between a branching portion 2A and a merging portion 2B from/to the main exhausting passage 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
