<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which is capable of manufacturing a polarizing plate which has an excellent adhesive strength between a polarizer and a protection film, and which has an excellent durability under high temperature and high humidity stably and effectively. <P>SOLUTION: This is a manufacturing method of a polarizing plate which includes a polarizer consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, and a protection film consisting of thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin. This is a manufacturing method of a polarizing plate which includes a lamination process where the polarizer and the protection film are laminated to obtain a laminated body, through an adhesive layer which includes acrylic or polyurethane adhesive, and a solvent which is a poor solvent of the thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin, and which is a good solvent of the adhesive and whose transmission modules against the protection film under the circumstances where the temperature is 25°C and the relative humidity is 40% is 38 g/m<SP>2</SP>×24 hr or more; and a dry process to remove the solvent which is contained by the adhesive layer by heating the laminated body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
