<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector device which uses a DMD (digital mirror device) on which a picture is projected always with constant lightness. <P>SOLUTION: The DMD projector is equipped with a light source, a DMD panel equipped with a plurality of mirror elements which are controlled into first and second tilt states to reflect the light from the light source as video light to a first direction in the first tilt state and to a second direction different from the first direction in the second tilt state, and a video controller which outputs a gradation signal controlling the tilt state of the mirror elements to the DMD panel; and the light source has its light quantity controlled with a voltage and each mirror element has an optical sensor provided at a position where its reflected light is incident in the second state, a reference voltage source which generates a predetermined reference voltage, and a voltage control part which compares the reference voltage generated by the reference voltage source with a voltage obtained by the optical sensor and controls the quantity of light of the light source so that those voltages are matched to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
