<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively enhance the transfer efficiency of toner in a color image forming process where a plurality of color toners on an image carrier are press-transferred to a transfer material or an intermediate transfer medium. <P>SOLUTION: The toner 13, which is used for the color image forming apparatus for transferring four color toners, yellow, magenta, cyan and black toners on the transfer material such as a paper sheet or the intermediate transfer medium in the overlapped state, comprises many base particles 14 and many particles as additive agent 15. In this case, the synchronous toner where the additive agent 15' sticks on the base particle 14, an asynchronous base particle 14' with no additive agent stuck, and free additive agent 15' isolated from the base particle 14 coexist in the toner 13. And the additive agent isolation ratio of each of four color toners; yellow, magenta, cyan and black toners 13Y, 13M, 13C and 13BK is set to be ≤5% (including 0%).
