PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring load adjusting device which uses an adjuster and spring seat, reduces friction, lessens rotary operating force for an adjuster, reduces a directional length for giving bounding-back force of a click-stop mechanism and the number of components, and has an improved assembling property. SOLUTION: The spring load adjusting device 16 for a hydraulic shock absorber 10 supports the spring seat 50 with the adjuster 40, and adjusts spring load of the suspended spring 18 supported on the spring seat 60 by means of rotary movement of the adjuster 40. The adjuster 40 and the spring seat 50 are connected each other via flat surfaces 40A and 50A, respectively. A base end of a leaf spring 42 is arranged on the flat surface 40A of the adjuster 40. A recessed portion 53 is arranged on a plurality of positions at a peripheral direction of the flat surface 50A of the spring seat 50. A fixing portion 42A provided on the leaf spring 42 is reboundingly fixed in the recessed portion 53. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
