<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display device having a wide range of viewing angles with uniform color tone and capable of realizing the same viewing angle as that of a CRT, and also improving picture quality. <P>SOLUTION: This is the active matrix type liquid crystal display device comprising a pair of substrates, a liquid crystal layer held between the pair of substrates, a plurality of video signal lines formed on one of the substrates of the pair, a plurality of scanning signal lines formed on the one of the substrates of the pair, and pixel electrodes and counter electrodes formed on the one of the substrates, and the counter electrodes are supplied with counter voltage from the scanning signal lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
