PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which a developer feeding member stably feeds a developer to a developer carrier, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the developing device, and a computer system for the same. SOLUTION: The developing device includes a housing part for the developer, a rotatable developer carrier, a developer feeding member arranged in the housing part, a projecting part arranged in the housing part, and a developer passage which is formed by the inside wall of the housing part and the outside surface of the developer feeding member and through which the developer passes before passing through the contact part. The shortest distance between the outside surface of the developer feeding member and the projecting part is made longer than the shortest distance between the outside surface of the developer feeding member and the inside wall of the housing part which constitutes the developer passage.
