PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a trouble as to spatter of a part of a molten metal in a furnace through a furnace opening part to the outer part because the movement of the molten metal in a conventional furnace for smelting is difficult to control. SOLUTION: In this furnace, an overhang part is arranged in the inner wall at a gas supplying side in the furnace opening part for charging/discharging the raw material to be smelted. Inclining parts are arranged in the inner wall at the reverse side of the gas supplying side in the furnace opening hole side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
