PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrating apparatus for safely supplying high-concentration oxygen to a user by low power consumption at a low noise level. SOLUTION: This oxygen concentrating apparatus for separating oxygen electrochemically from the mixed gas containing oxygen is provided with an electrolyte consisting of an alkaline aqueous solution, a cathode to be in contact with the electrolyte for reducing the oxygen contained in the supplied gas into a peroxide and an anode to be in contact with the electrolyte for oxidizing the peroxide to produce high-concentration oxygen.
