PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material positioning device capable of reducing cost, and adjusting the position of a projected member to a placement member with a compact and lightweight constitution. SOLUTION: In an exposure part 18 of an automatic exposure device 10 for printing plates, the printing plate 12 is abutted on a pair of positioning pins 52, so that the printing plate 12 is positioned in forward-to-back directions. Thereby, a punching mechanism to form a cut in an end edge of the printing plate in conventional devices is not needed, and cost is reduced. The positioning pins 52 are provided on an oscillation plate 76 at positions apart from an oscillation center of it, and an adjusting pin 72 provided on a rotary drum 50 gets in contact with the oscillation plate 76 at a position apart from the oscillation plate 76. An oscillation position of the oscillation plate 76 when the oscillation plate 76 gets in contact with the adjusting pin 72 can be adjusted by changing the diameter of the adjusting pin 72 by change of the pin 72. The rotation position of the positioning pin 52 is thus adjusted, and the position of the positioning pin 52 can be adjusted with a compact and lightweight constitution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
