<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sulfonamide compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing physiologically active, compounds such as medicines and the like in good enanthioselectivity. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the optically active sulfonamide compound comprises a process for reacting a ketone compound with hydroxylamine to produce the oxime compound, a process for subjecting the oxime compound to a sulfonylimination reaction to produce the sulfonimide compound, and an asymmetrical reduction process for reacting the obtained sulfonimide compound with a hydride reagent in the presence of an optically active cobalt complex catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
