<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent battery exhaustion and accelerating failure during regeneration of a filter. <P>SOLUTION: In an engine control device of a vehicle including an exhaust emission control device for scavenging particulate matter in exhaust by a filter 16, and incinerating the scavenged particulate matter by an electric heater 18 to regenerate the filter, when a fuel increase command signal showing that the filter is under regeneration is given from a DPF controller 44, the fuel injection quantity is increased to increase the rotating speed of a diesel engine 10. Whereupon, the power generation amount of a generator driven by the diesel engine 10 is increased, so that even if filter regeneration is conducted by the electric heater 18, battery exhaustion and accelerating failure are prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
