PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-noise direct-acting device showing good and stable operability over a long period even under conditions that it may be splashed with water by avoiding dimensional variations caused by the absorption of water into a separator made from polyamide. SOLUTION: The direct-acting device with grease sealed therein has: a direct- acting element fitted over a shaft to make relative linear movement along the shaft; a plurality of balls retained in a ball groove formed on the inner surface of the direct-acting element to roll between the ball groove and the shaft; the separators intervening between the balls; and a circulation passage formed in the direct-acting element for the circulation of the balls from one end of the ball groove to the other. The separator is made from a polyamide resin composition and has a moisture-proof film formed on its surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
