METHOD FOR TREATING ALKYLENE OXIDE ADDUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying an alkylene oxide adduct by which the alkylene oxide adduct having little coloration when it is anionized is obtained, obtain a purified alkylene oxide adduct and its anionized product and provide a detergent containing those. SOLUTION: The method for treating the alkylene oxide adduct to be pure is to treat the alkylene oxide adduct with a hydroxylamine salt in the presence of 1-30 wt.% water based on the weight of the alkylene oxide adduct. The purified alkylene oxide adduct is obtained by the method. A method for anionizing the purified alkylene oxide adduct is provided. An anionic surfactant is obtained by anionizing the purified alkylene oxide. The detergent contains the purified alkylene oxide adduct and/or the anionic surfactant. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
