PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a crane vehicle equipped with a revolving table swingably mounted on the vehicle, a boom supporting lever mounted on the table free to rise and fall between the back tilting position and the rising position, a lever fixing means to fix the lever to the back tilting position or the rising position with possibility of disengagement, an actuator to secure and disengage the lever fixing means, an extension boom attached to the lever free to rise and fall, a derricking cylinder to raise and sink the extension boom, and a boom supporting means to support the extension boom in the falling condition, wherein an improvement is incorporated to avoid a hazard generated with disengagement of the lever fixing means unless the extension boom is supported by the boom supporting means. SOLUTION: The safety device of the crane vehicle is furnished with a boom support sensing means 11 which senses whether the extension boom 6 is supported by the boom supporting means 4 and makes it impossible to disengage the lever fixing means 4 otherwise to be made by the actuator 5 unless the boom 6 is supported by the boom supporting means 4.
