PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably retain and feed cut sheets of different sheet width without having a attaching/detaching member. SOLUTION: This cut sheet feeder 44 for a recording device is movably provided with a pair of hoppers 78, which can retain a plurality of cut sheets K between a feed roller 77 and a pushing plate 79 energized by a spring, in the direction of contacting with/separating from each other and feeds the cut sheet retained by the pair of hoppers to a recording device body one by one by the rotation of the feed roller. The pair of hoppers are so constituted that a sheet retainer member 85 extending in the contacting/separating direction of the hoppers is penetratingly disposed in an insertion port 84 of a hopper case 81 and the cut sheets retained by the pair of hoppers are in contact with and retained by the sheet retaining member.
