PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assisting device to assist a driver for double parking or parallel parking, and a vehicle provided with the parking assisting device, capable of enabling the driver to correctly stop at a prescribed stop position based on the driver's intention of braking, and release stop at the stop position to reset a recommended route without requiring complicated operation. SOLUTION: In parking in a parking section, this device sets vehicle moving routes including the stop position by a moving route setting means 50, and instructs the driver to make steering operation and driving operation in accordance with the moving routes. As the braking will of the driver is detected around the stop position by a brake sensor 40, braking operation is assisted by a braking control means 41 to stop the vehicle at the top position.
