<p>Transmission digital data is supplied through an error correction coding unit (101) and a digital modulation unit (102) to an S/P converter (103) where the data is converted into N parallel data series. A sub-carrier selector (104) selects M parallel data series from them. The selected data series are supplied through an IFFT unit (105-1) and a P/S converter (106-1) so as to be converted into an OFDM signal and its peak is detected in a peak detector (107). The signal output to the IFFT unit (105-2) is also processed in the same way and a peak is detected. A signal selector (108) selects one of the OFDM signals according to the information reported from the peak detector (107) and outputs it. This signal is transmitted via an RF transmitter (109) and an antenna (110). Thus, it is possible to suppress the peak power of the multi-carrier signal and suppress deterioration of the error ratio upon reception and interference given to a signal of another system.</p> |
