<p>A mounting bar system permitting infinite adjustability in mounting avionics-components trays (694) and Dzus-mounted avionics in at least one aircraft cockpit instrument panel assembly. Each mounting bar (210) is slotted (270) along its longitudinal axis. The slot (270) is made to include the shape of a T such that a wider channel (260) exists below the opening (220) of the slot. Spring-loaded nut assemblies (300) set to receive mounting screws (280) from the avionics-components trays (694) are fit within the T slot (270). Friction provided by the spring (330) holds the nut assembly (300) at any desired location within the T slot (270). As the nut assembly (300) can be positioned at any location within the T slot, the mounting bar (210) can readily be adjusted to support any avionics-components tray intended for at least one aircraft cockpit instrument panel assembly.</p> |
