The invention relates to an articulation, particularly for joining rods (1; 14) in an articulated frame, comprising two journals (2) and two bearings (6) being arranged in the same axis that have an annular edge (9), which is shaped as an entry into a cylindrical recess (8) and against which, while under elastic pretensioning (17), the journals (2) rest with a tapering (16) provided thereon. A wider section of the tapering is located in front of the annular edge (9), and a narrower section of the tapering extends behind the annular edge (9) into the recess (8). The tapering (16) is preferably provided on a displaceably guided (13) front part (14) of the journal (2) that is subjected to the action of force by an elastic element (17). The mounting of the journals with their tapering on the annular edge, while under elastic pretensioning, eliminates all play since it automatically always leads to a complete seating. It can, by the deeper penetration of the journals into the annular edge or by their projection out of the annular edge, follow every thermal expansion during heating and shrinking that occurs during cooling without resulting in damages. During resting only against the annular edge and after wear only caused to a narrow annular surface particularly due to the high surface pressure resulting therefrom, dirt that has penetrated approximately between the contact surfaces is quickly pressed out once again toward one or the other side. In addition, the articulation is maintenance-free.
|
