The switching circuit has several series switch elements (4,5,6,7), each having an input electrode, an output electrode and a control electrode, the output electrode and the control electrode of the switch element at one end of the series circuit coupled to the circuit output (2) and the circuit control terminal (3) and the input electrode of the switch element at the opposite end of the series circuit coupled to the circuit input (1). The remaining control electrodes are coupled to respective switched current sinks (8,9,10), controlled by the input of the preceding series switch element, the output of each current sink coupled to the output of the preceding series switch element.
