Remote controlled electromechanical Mechanism (1) for lifting - lowering of the pier or embarking/disembarking gangway (3). The Mechanism is used in the ships and specifically in the way of embarkation and disembarkation from them. The Mechanism (1) is consisted of an electric engine that turns a drum (10) where the rope is coiled and via pulleys (2) it leads in the end of the gangway we want to move. The Mechanism is placed onboard the ship and can be remotely controlled (13). The one end of the gangway is placed permanently in the end of ship and the other end (pier head) of the gangway it is lowered or lifted with the mechanism so that it can be placed in the dock. The invention is useful in all kinds of ships for embarking and disembarking individuals. The auxiliary boat of the ship (12) can be attached under the gangway so that with the aid of the mechanism both, the gangway and the auxiliary boat can be moved simultaneously.
