<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double deck elevator car capable of changing mutual interval and arranging a car having wide frontage easily by effectively utilizing hoistway frontage dimension. <P>SOLUTION: Two cars 19 (24) arranged up and down are provided for a suspension frame 1 so as to displace vertically by an elevation mechanism 13, respectively. A longitudinal member of a car frame 15 supporting the car 19 is arranged at a position apart from a longitudinal frame 4 of the suspension frame 1 to make an outer side face of the car 19 face an inner side of the longitudinal frame 4 of the suspension frame 1 directly for arrangement. An outer side face position of the car 19 is arranged at a position close to inside measurement frontage of the suspension frame 1 to widen frontage of the car 19 by this configuration. Consequently, frontage dimension of the car 19 for frontage dimension of the suspension frame 1 can be increased and the hoistway frontage dimension can be effectively utilized to reduce construction cost of a hoistway required for the installation of the car 19 having a required floor area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
