<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera realizing accurate photometry where the effect of pulsating light is eliminated in a short period of time by simplified integral control even when a subject is illuminated by a light source including the pulsating light. <P>SOLUTION: The camera performs exposure control by measuring brightness in a first photometric area within a photographic image plane several times by a photometric part 18, averaging the obtained photometric result, so as to reduce the effect of the pulsating light included in illuminating light, adding the photometric result obtained by performing photometry several times according to the number of photometric times, dividing the respective added values by the averaged photometric result to obtain a correction value, and correcting the result of measurement including a main subject obtained in the second photometric area of a second photometric means using the area sensors 3a and 3b of the photometric part based on the correction value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
