THREE-DIMENSIONAL POSITION INPUTTING DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional position inputting device capable of realizing the intuitive input operation of a user on a space in a computer in real time with an extremely simple configuration by inputting only a moving image photographed from a single direction.

SOLUTION: This three-dimensional position inputting device is provided with a light source moving means 2 having a point light source 1 movable in a predetermined three-dimensional area; at least two reflecting mirrors 4a and 4b having mirror surfaces forming at least two virtual images 1a and 1b of the point light source; a single image pickup means 6 for simultaneously imaging at least two virtual images of the point light source; and an arithmetic unit 8 for calculating the three-dimensional positions of the point light source from an image obtained by the image pickup means. The reflecting mirrors 4a and 4b set at least two virtual image pickup means 6a and 6b of the single image pickup means 6 on the opposite sides of their mirror surfaces, and form a state in which the single point light source 1 can be imaged by at least two virtual image pickup means 6a and 6b of the single image pickup means 6.
