<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize user switching of high security in a computer of a multi- user system. <P>SOLUTION: When the execution of a user switching function is requested by a user, a user switching control program 202 limits the user authority level of a user selectable as a user for switching, to users with a specific user authority level or lower according to the user authority level of the user who requested the user switching. Only the users with the specific user authority level or lower, out of a plurality of users who can log on a computer are thereby displayed on a list screen 511 of users who can be switched.
