PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating which can be easily assembled, in which a square columnar body can be easily replaced even if the body is damaged or corroded partially and in which advantages of a wooden member is utilized and while disadvantages are improved. SOLUTION: A pair of long-sized side plates 1 and a pair of short-sized end plates 2 are formed into a square frame; the grating comprises a metallic frame body F for a grating and a plurality of square columnar bodies 6 with an overall length almost equal with the length between the two side plates 1; the frame body F is provided with teeth portions 12 extending oppositely from both the side plates to the center of the frame in a comb-tooth shape at predetermined pitches; and the square columnar bodies 6 are arranged laterally so as to fill a space between the two side plates 1 or arranged in a recessed portion between the tooth portion 12 and the end plate. By the formation of the teeth portion 12, a slit shaped gapεis secured between the neighboring square columnar bodies 6, and the upper surface 6a of each square columnar body 6 is used as a design surface.
