<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image data processing method possible easily designate, and easily change the desired region of a map image for print or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In this map data processing method for designating a region to be outputted in a map, a first layer associated with a map image corresponding to a normal map is displayed, and a second layer including a frame indicating that the inside part is the region of a map to be outputted is generated in response to a command (a step 201) indicating the designation of the region to be outputted, and the second layer is displayed so as to be overlapped on the first layer (a step 202). Then, the second layer is re-displayed so as to be overlapped on the first layer (a step 203) by relatively moving the second layer and the first layer or changing the scale of the map of the second layer in response to a command to change of the movement of the region or the scale of the map. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
