<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus by which the occurrence of envelope wrinkles is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus possessing an image forming means by which a developer image is obtained by developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier with developer and the developer is transferred by bringing the image carrier and a transfer material into contact with each after at a transfer part and a fixing device by which the toner image is fixed and recorded on the transfer material by heating the transfer material on the surface thereof the toner image as an unfixed image is formed and carried by a member heated by a heating member while making the transfer material pass between a fixing rotary body and a pressure rotary body brought into press-contact with each other, the position of the fixing device is controlled in the case that an envelope is fed as the transfer material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
