<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water hammer preventive device which is advantageous in that the device can be designed small because it is necessary to provide only a circulation outlet port for fluid on the inlet port side of a small sized filtering device for fluid, reduces costs for facility and maintenance and management, can eliminate noise and vibration because it can prevent water hammer action effectively, and can reduce the breaking down, malfunction clogging of equipment in a fluid moving process, which may be caused by the noise, vibration and impact caused by conventional water hammer. <P>SOLUTION: This water hammer preventive device is provided in a fluid transferring pipe and is provided with a filtering section at an intermediate section between the fluid inlet port and the fluid outlet port and has the circulation outlet port for fluid on the inlet port side for fluid.
