PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driving apparatus capable of realizing downsizing of a circuit and decrease in power consumption as a display apparatus performing gradation display by a voltage modulation system, and to provide a display apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: A reference voltage generation circuit 36 generates reference voltages as many as the number of gradations, and these reference voltages are separated by a selector circuit 39 into the high voltage side reference voltages and the low voltage side reference voltages irrespective of the polarities of the reference voltages. As for the reference voltages separated by the selector circuit 39, one of the reference voltage is selected from the high voltage side reference voltages by a Pch-arranged converter part of a D-A converter circuit 37 and outputted as a gradation display voltage, and one of the reference voltage is selected from the low voltage side reference voltages by a Nch-arranged converter part and outputted as a gradation display voltage.
