PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a proper sounding driving with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A playing device is equipped with a sounding body 3 which vibrates to sound, a sounding body driving part 6 which is fitted to a rotary shaft 5 rotatably with slide resistance and has a driving member for vibrating the sounding body, a rotary driving part M which drives the rotary shaft to rotate, and a driving means 8 which drives the sounding body driving part. To make the sounding body sound, the driving means 8 rotates the sounding body driving part around the rotary shaft from a specified standby state against the slide resistance and in the process of the rotation, the driving member drives the sounding body to vibrate. After the rotation of the sounding body driving part by the driving means, the sounding body driving part is put back into the specified standby state accompanying the rotation of the rotary shaft through the slide resistance.
