PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which combines a high-pressure container type compressor and a low-pressure container type compressor, and makes an oil level balance of each compressor without detecting the oil level. SOLUTION: The high-pressure container type compressor 10 and the low- pressure container type compressor 11 are combined and a first oil equalizing pipe 38 equipped with a control valve 37 is provided from the container position A of required sufficient amount of oil stored inside the compressor 10 to the container of the compressor 11. A second oil equalizing pipe 39 is provided from the container position B of required sufficient amount of oil stored inside the compressor 11. By making the control valve 37 open at regular time intervals, even if the oil returns to either compressor, the surplus part of oil stored in each compressor is supplied into another compressor at regular time intervals through either the first oil equalizing pipe 38 or the second oil equalizing pipe 39, therefore the amount of oil stored in both compressors can be made to balance without providing the oil level sensor.
