PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cover structure of a charnel house in a gravestone in which the intrusion of rainwater, bugs or the like is prevented. SOLUTION: In the cover structure of the charnel house in the gravestone, the cover structure is composed of an inner cover 17, from which a cover is inserted into a cinerary port 16, and an outer cover 22 being abutted against the periphery of the external side face of the cinerary port 16 and closing the port 16 while the outer cover 22 is placed and mounted on a placing surface in the gravestone base 2 in the gravestone 1 in which the charnel house 14 is formed into a gravestone base 2 supporting a pole 3 and the cinerary port 16 is formed to the peripheral wall of the house 14 while the cover opening and closing the port 16 is installed. The port 16 is formed on the rear side of the gravestone 1, the placing surface is formed in a plane, the center of gravity of the outer cover 22 is set at a place at approximately the center of a left-right width and near to the house 14, and the external side face of the outer cover 22 is formed in an inclined plane 23 inclined towards the center side of the gravestone base 2, thus forming a structure in which the outer cover 22 controls a movement in the external direction of the inner cover 17.
