PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing a simple efficient base plate for a seismic isolator. SOLUTION: In the important points of the method for installing the base plate for the seismic isolator, the base plate 1 in which at least three extensible supporting legs 4 are mounted on the underside of a plate 2 is installed at the place of the installation of the seismic isolator in a foundation 9, the supporting legs 4 are expanded and contracted and the base plate 1 is leveled, and concrete 11 is placed into forms 10 assembled and formed around the base plate 1. In the important points, the supporting legs 4 are secured at places positioned at the angle sections of an equilateral triangle, and nuts 5 for an installation for the seismic isolator set up to the underside of the base plate 1 are utilized in at least one of the supporting legs.
