PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking device which can hold the attitude of a parking rod in the attitude capable of supporting selection of a shift position when a first casing and a second casing which are constituted separately are joined together. SOLUTION: In this parking device having an operating member operated by switching of the shift position, the parking rod connected to the operating member and operated interlockingly with operation of the operating member, a parking pole operated in contact with the parking rod, and a parking gear with/from which the parking pole is engaged/separated, the first casing and the second casing which are constituted separately are provided, the first casing can be joined with the second casing, a guide member for guiding operation of the parking gear and the parking rod is provided at the first casing, and the operating member and the parking rod are provided at the second casing.
