<p>A pump (10) includes a housing (12) defining a tube receiving portion (26) and a blade (102) mounted for reciprocating movement between first and second positions. In its first position, the leading edge (104) of the blade (102) compresses a length of tube (30) against a first surface disposed in the tube-receiving portion (26), while in the second position, the blade (102) does not compress the tube (30). The tube-receiving portion (26) can receive the tube (30) directly or indirectly through a tube set (60) detachably mounted to the housing (12). The tube set (60) includes a tube (30) and a base (62) having first and second end portions (64, 66) that respectively define first and second tube-receiving apertures (68, 70) for slidably receiving a length of the tube (30) therethrough. The base (62) has a first surface (72) constructed to engage the length of tube (30) between the apertures for compression by the pump blade (102).</p> |
