The multi-section brake disc (1) comprises a friction ring (20) fastened on a friction ring carrier (10). A contact face (12) on the friction ring carrier or contact face (22) on the friction ring has a convex curvature with regard to the axial direction so that the friction ring can be installed on the carrier to effect at least limited pivoting perpendicularly to the axial direction. The corresponding contact faces may be cylindrical in design or may have a concave curvature. Radially projecting protrusions (13) are provided on the friction ring carrier and with tangential form locking engage in associated radial recesses (23) in the friction ring. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the assembling of a multi-section brake disc in which a friction ring with a concavely curved contact face is slid onto a friction ring carrier with a cylindrical contact face.
