A method of pleating a garment, wherein an unfinished garment, prepared by sewing cloth parts together, is folded, rolled and twisted, and then attached to a holder. The holder holding the garment is placed in a heattreatment apparatus, and the unfinished garment is heattreated and pleated at the same time in the heat-treatment apparatus filled with saturated steam.
