<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing an appropriate EGR control in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine provided with a scavenging mechanism and an EGR mechanism in each of a plurality of exhaust passages connected to the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control device for multicylinder internal combustion engine, the plurality of exhaust passages are connected to the internal combustion engine, and the scavenging mechanism, an EGR passage and an EGR valve are provided for every exhaust passage. By controlling each EGR valve according to pressure loss of each scavenging mechanism, EGR gas is uniformly supplied to each cylinder of the internal combustion engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
