PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro traction-drive, which has a high strength and a high transfer-torque, is provided in a limited dimension in the small drive, and easily manufactured without necessitating gear-cutting. SOLUTION: In the micro traction-drive, an input shaft is supported by an input-shaft-supporting bearing in a casing, and an output shaft having the same center axis as that of the input shaft is supported by an output-shaft-supporting bearing in the casing. The tip end of the input shaft is placed at interval opposite to the rear end of the output shaft. An outer ring is installed in the casing or it constitutes a part of the casing, having a fixed rotation direction to the casing. An inner ring is placed to the input shaft. A plurality of rolling elements having smooth rolling contact surfaces are fit and rolled by rotation of the inner ring between the inside peripheral surface of the outer ring and the outside peripheral surface of the inner ring, and revolve around the center axis. A cage provided at the rear end of the output shaft is locked with the rolling elements to press the outer ring to the plurality of rolling elements. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
