PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lowly irritating gel-like detergent composition being excellent in foamability, foam quality, and touch during rinsing or after washing, capable of making the skin washed therewith supple, and being excellent in long-terms stability and the capability of being restored after low-temperature storage. SOLUTION: The detergent composition is one containing (a) an acylmethyltaurine anionic surfactant, (b) an amidobetaine amphoteric surfactant, (c) an amidoamino acid amphoteric surfactant, and (d) polyethylene glycol of an average molecular weight of 1,000-10,000, wherein the amount of (a) is 2-15 wt.%, the amount of (b) is 1-7 wt.%, the amount of (c) is 5-15 wt.%, the amount of (d) is 1-7 wt.%, the ratio (a)/[(b)+(c)] is 1/10 to 1/1 by weight, and the ratio (b)/(c) is 1/8 to 3/4 by weight.
