PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition holding sufficient ion exchange capacity as an ion exchanger and having equilibrated excellent heat resistance and molding processability, or the like. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises (a) a thermoplastic resin having one or more kinds of bonds of ester bonds, amide bonds, imide bonds, urethane bonds, carbonate bonds and ketone bonds in the main chain and (b) an aromatic thermoplastic resin containing ion exchangeable groups introduced into the side chain and the main chain containing a connecting structure through aromatic rings.
