PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device not causing reduction of a printing speed even when using a paper feeding system wherein a time from a paper feeding operation start to arrival of a sheet at a paper feeding sensor changes according to an amount of the sheets stacked in a sheet cassette. SOLUTION: In the image forming device, the sheet cassette is provided with a residual amount detection sensor, and paper feeding timing is changed according to a detection result of the residual amount detection sensor.
