A pickup device in which a coil or a magnet can be displaced to follow up the protrusions and recesses of a record groove completely and a voice recorded on a disc can be reproduced faithfully. The pickup device comprises a cantilever having a needle point formed at the forward end part thereof and a base end part continuous to a holder, and a coil or a magnet disposed on the holder supported such that the holder is displaced to follow up the needle point with the central position of the coil or the magnet as a fulcrum.
