<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner with which the supply of the toner with good response corresponding to the amt. of the toners to be developed is made possible in a one-component development having a blade in contact with a developer carrying member, stable developability is attained and high-quality images are obtd., and to provide an image forming method. CONSTITUTION: This electrostatic charge image developing toner is used in a one-component developing device having the developer applying blade pressed to a developer carrying member in a direction reverse to its rotating direction. The toner described above is added with a low softening point material of 5 to 30wt.% of a polar resin and polymerizable monomer at the time of polymn. and is produced by a suspension polymn. method. The toner shape factor SF-1 of the electrostatic charge image developing toner is 100 to 140 and the void volume E of the toner has a relation described below.
